The Appleby Tavern is the venue for the monthly blues night. It was started many years ago by Marty Astone in collaboration with the Southbound Blues Trust. The trust was formed to promote, and educate people about Blues music. The blues night and Marty reignited the interest of Bari Fitzgerald in performing again. Dave Hogan has also performed at the Appleby a number of times, so it could be predicted that the Unknown Blues would turn up for the Friday night gig planned by the trust. The photos below are of Joe 90 the young band that played the first set and which used to play regularly on blues night. On Friday they gave a one-off performance, just for the occasion.
